May is known as mental health awareness month 💙
The objective of this post is to bring awareness about Mental health . The Stigma around mental health and treatment is long existed and still exist now although there is a lot that has been changed. Still now People feel a shame or they hesitate taking a step forward or they change the topic when it comes to open up or taking a help . For some it’s a matter of
Lack of awareness
Shame
Stigma
How people will judge them
Wasting their money
Unnecessary backlash by society
The simple rule is that whenever you get hurt ,you visit a doctor for getting treatment and same logic applies here also . Both our physical and mental well being is our responsibility.
Mental Health Awareness Month was first celebrated in 1949. It was commemorated by the Mental Health America organization, which was then known as the National Committee for Mental Hygiene and then later as the National Mental Health Association before it got its current name. The association was founded by Clifford Whittingham Beers. Beers, who was born in 1876 in Connecticut, was one of five children in his family who all suffered from mental illness and psychological distress. All of them also went on to spend time at mental institutions and it was from his hospital admittance that he discovered that the mental health field had a notorious reputation for malpractice, maltreatment, and immense bias.

Many institutions are working towards a better cause . If you are the one who are going through mental health issues, take a step ahead; break your silence and if you see that someone else needs help, tell them to take professional help .
Raise awareness about the importance of mental health issues ,I am grateful that I am doing my bit to support the society .

Not all pains are physical, not all wounds are visible
Take time to listen to your woes to make yourself liveable
Break the silence ,break the Stigma
Mental health is not a shame ,as created a dogma
You are important and so is your health
Whether physical or mental
